This is a good story about the development of narrator. Narrator shares how his life parallels the life of the author Thomas Wolfe. Both were raised by a strong willed mother, sheltered from normal childhood contacts with no interference from father. Once escaping mother's control, narrator describes life growing up in the 50's. Poems by author explain how life's journey develops us, the people we meet, the choices we make. The travelogue of Ashville, NC is a bonus.

Awesome Book ! Friendship grows between Robert Morrow and Ghost Tom as they recapture memories. Four original poems by James Funk open a window for us to look at our own lives.
If you like imaginative storytelling you will like this book! |
